Will you PLEASE PLEASE stop looking at Friday as if it's an important deadline. You will NOT be paying for a double dip case like all the rest:
however I actually live in the area and used the car park quickly in the morning (no more than 10 minutes) and re-entered in the afternoon (again no more than ten minutes)

    As BrownTrout said:
Why are you even thinking of paying it up when you have been advised not to?

    Look:

Never mind blinking Friday or even if they do 'take it further'. So can you!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Hi Coupon-mad,

I completely appreciate your advice and I think i'm seeing Friday (today!!!) as a dead line as we are just not in a financial position to risk further charges and potentially loosing at court.

We don't have any concrete evidence to support our claim so i'm not sure how this would go down in a court situation.

This has caused us so much stress and grief, i'm not so sure we can handle another 6 months of it :(

So what are you proposing to do give up to a known scam?

Give up to a Micky Mouse ANPR system that has been proven time and time again to be not fit for purpose to the extent that councils have been banned from using it to control car parks.

An ANPR system that was installed erroneously by Wycombe council and it cost them dearly when the government made them remove it because it penalises motorists.

A system that even The BPA have admitted is fallible?

The PPC will laugh all the way to the bank at another mug and continue to giggle at the way their system's errors go on making them easy money.

But you do have proof you were elsewhere. You have bank statements/receipts, and a (potential) signed witness statement to say you were elsewhere.

    Hi all,

I'm not giving up - just considering a ways we can fight this without the fee continuously going up, we are simply not in a position to risk facing additional 100s of pounds because of this.

The unfortunate thing is we just don't have any proof. I've contacted the company today and they have assured me a hold (to be confirmed in writing) has been put on the charge for another two weeks whilst me and my partner try and obtain more evidence/ liaise with our local MPs office.

Could my partner sign a witness statement?

Yes of course. Anyone can write a witness statement. Also ask your friends, neighbours, or colleagues if any of them can state you and/or your car were elsewhere.

Just keep stating that the PCN has been issued in error following two separate visits because they use unfit for purpose ANPR cameras that have failed to record the vehicle leaving and returning.
These scameras have been banned by the UK Government for car park monitoring in council and local authority car parks because they are so badly flawed.

Be assertive. Complain to the Tesco store manager and the CEO. Complain to your MP. Complain to the local and national press pointing out the words in red from the NEWBIES used by our MPs about this scam, and about the government banning ANPR cameras because of the errors they cause.

Been searching on here to see if there is a template specifically tailored to "double dipping", could anyone link me or advise a good template to use?
Do you think it would be a good idea to write to VCS again not accepting liability and including a witness statement along with historic information on the unreliability of ANPR? (considering my appeal has already been rejected by the IAS)
Thanks again for everyone's help, not sure what I would of done without this forum function.

Yes totally 100% until such time you get a court claim
Nothing you do will have any effect with that site in question so dont waste your time thinking about deadlines
You only need to come back if you get a claim form
