Big respect, sir. That shows commitment.touring europe on a yamaha 350lc.
I had a Ducati GT1000 and it was my daily driver and lived outside through several Welsh winters with no ill effects, although I did slather it in ACF-50 before the bad weather. I reckoned the materials and build quality were excellent, and it looked as good as new when I sold it.
As others have said, there is no way a modern motorcycle, even an Italian, should suffer so badly from the use you have described. If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0 -
It looks like my bike has been stored outside not under cover before purchase. Initiating the corrosion. Its still a helluva thing to consider aluminium parts on the electrical system turning to dust in such a short time..

The bike design cant cope with keeping the spray and salt off itself, its a terrible design in that respect. Its a joke to think it has 'touring' in its blood https://www.ducati.com/ww/en/bikes/supersport/supersport .
"The SuperSport blends comfort with versatility thanks to solutions that make it perfect for everyday road riding.."
