It's always nice when people come back with updates.

I have the same floor tiles as you have in your kitchen etc. in my bathroom. You have good taste :o

    Congratulations on your new home.

  • Can I ask if you had to pay for your kitchen upgrade when you chose it or could you add it to your mortgage? We're currently in the process of buying a DWH and had a kitchen choosing appointment on Saturday. They mentioned the upgrade for us to a pearl kitchen and we were interested. They couldn't tell us the upgrade price on Saturday but rang today to say it would be £8,500 and if we wanted to go ahead we have to pay for the upgrade now. At no point during that appointment did they say that this would be the case, we submitted our mortgage application earlier in the week and had added extra to cover the upgrade as a treat to ourselves.

The "upgraded" kitchen in the OP's picture is suspiciously like the standard kitchen we got in our new build DWH home we bought in April.

We also got a 6 burner hob, 3 fan extractor to suit and double oven!
