Mobiles.co.uk mess

Ordered a P30 on Thursday before their last order dispatch time but they cancelled the order without any notice, had an email the next day with it coming down to failures on checked - gave them a change of details and it was then all ok - phone dispatched, upfront cost has been taken from my account.

They then delivered to my home address which is not what I have on my order, I wasn't in so gave them a call, all arranged again for the next day - no delivery.

Out for delivery again today then they say they've cancelled it as internal checks failed. Now I can't go anywhere else as the deal for a Sonos Play 1 has expired.

Anyone else experienced baffling experiences with this lot

Quite a few. They are CPW and have deteriorated further since I last used them extensively. Now about 35% through another contract with them and have already come close to suing twice for cashback.

The "internal check" may have been because there were two orders in a short space of time. They do make mistakes (sometimes in your favour, but not usually) and make up the rules of the game as they go along. Nowadays there are usually better deals elsewhere (if you use cashback contracts); free gifts aren't usally free anyway.
  • Nope not business and it's only one order - I wasted two days waiting for the delivery and as a goodwill gesture they've offered me £10 off a future order :rotfl:

[STRIKE]Not all of that is the fault of mobiles.co.uk, some is the fault of Royal Mail.[/STRIKE]

You could of course get yourself a P30 or another phone and wait for a Sonos Play 1 to be on sale somewhere.
  • It's there mess up completely - it's dpd courier and they've sent it to the address which is not on my order

Asking for it to be delivered somewhere other than your home address likely triggered the second internal check, it was probably flagged as potential fraud.

  • They ask if there is an alternative delivery address and the address I gave was the one that matches the cardholder address of the address they were meant to send it and have charged.

Mobile phones sent to an address that is not the address of the account holder have always been subjected to extra scrutiny, due to the amount of fraud that has happened relating to mail order phones in the past.

  • I know what you're saying, in this instance the cardholder address was the same as the delivery address - pretty standard. They sent it to a different address that was not specified as the delivery address so stands to reason it would flag up
