Euro car parks

Just been catching up with my post
I got two letters from euro parks demanding £85 be paid (final notification), initially £50, by end of April for parking without a ticket for 5 min in mid Feb.
Photos of numberplate attached
BPA stamp
Quoting schedule 4 of protection of freedom act 2012
Am I right in continuing to ignore

Why are you ignoring?0

… parking without a ticket for 5 min in mid Feb.
Read about "grace periods" here
https://www.britishparking.co.uk/News/good-car-parking-practice-includes-grace-periods
and complain to your MP, they are on your side.
On 18th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these private parking companies. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, and persistent offenders denied access. Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers.
Until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

He, like you, didn't explain WHY.
Is writing to my MP really the course of action nowadays?
How can I prove it was 5 minutes?
Ignoring previously worked0 -
I've emailed my local MP. What should I do next? Demand payable in about 2 weeks0

Read the NEWBIES thread, which should have been done first, before posting.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

not true UNLESS more than 6 years have elapsed , so anything OLDER than april 2013 is statute barred, anything SINCE then can go to your local court for enforcement , which then disproves your theory

I asked a legitimate question how can you expect help when you don't set out your stall right in the first place?
They are the ones accusing you it's up to them to give you their evidence.
Writing to your MP is supplemental to give them as much grief as possible and there has been a bill passed in parliament to curb the activities of these scammers.
The newbies thread is your fount of all knowledge to fight these scum bag muppets, but the old way of ignoring went out in 2012 with the last failed government attempt to clean up the industry.0 -
I ignored one I got in 2017 and they eventually gave up when I submitted a County court defencenot true UNLESS more than 6 years have elapsed , so anything OLDER than april 2013 is statute barred, anything SINCE then can go to your local court for enforcement , which then disproves your theory0 -

Submitting a Defence doesn't sound like ignoring to me - far from it.0
