Bought a new TV last month from Currys and took out " knowhow cover " so basically if anything goes wrong they will replace or fix the TV within 7 days. Accidental damage is covered.
I just checked the product description and there is a manufacturers warranty for one year.
So my question is, am I wasting money on having knowhow cover ?
Thanks

Only you can answer that, but clearly no manufacturer's warranty will cover accidental damage and it's also doubtful that they would undertake to repair or replace within seven days.am I wasting money on having knowhow cover ?
You've taken out additional insurance, but only you can determine whether you want it. If you paid for the policy a month ago I doubt you'll be able to cancel it now...0 -

Thanks for the info.
It's a rolling 30 day contract, can cancel any time should I sell the TV etc0 -

Ok thanks.
So a manufacturers warranty doesn't cover accidental damage ? If this is the case then i'll continue paying for the team knowhow cover0 -
Or use your contents insurance for accidental damage, not buy another policy.
And buy your TVs in future from john Lewis or richer sounds and get a free 5 or 6 year warrantyEx forum ambassador

The manufacturer's warranty will be cover against faults, not damage.

I'd also read carefully the disclaimers about accidental damage in the Know How terms and conditions as you may not be as covered as you seem to believe.0 -

Fair enough I do have content insurance so I may as well cancel the policy otherwise whats the point in having content insurance i suppose.0
