Attaching Mirors to glass wardrobe doors?

It doesn't look possible to remove the glass. The door frames around the glass seem moulded somehow, and then a metal bead goes around the edge of the door frame and over the glass. It appears that the only way of getting mirrors onto them would be to stick them to the glass.
(The doors are hinged - each door has four hinges)
Consider taking a series of close-up photographs, uploading them and linking to the host site. There is a fair chance someone here will be able to tell you how best to remove the glass panels, be that in one piece or broken up (in a controlled/ safety conscious way).Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
How big are these pieces of glass (mirrors)? I'm not sure I fancy the idea of relying only on an adhesive. Have you got kids running round the house?
agree, it is a lot of extra weight on the door which will put additional stress on the hinges.
At best it is likely to knacker the doors in time and at worst the mirror/door could fall off causing injury or damage.
Unless OP is 100% sure the door can take the weight and the adhesive is strong enough to hold the mirror on then I really would not bother0 -
If you stick actual mirror to the glass. 4mm is an ideal thickness for the mirror. It's weight is 10kg per square metre so each pane would be easy to work out for weight. Sticking them on the front would mean you need polished edges. This would look better. Being in a door, I would also recommend having them safety backed (like a very wide cellotape covering the whole back). If they get broke in the future this will stop chunks of glass falling out.
Rather than actual mirror. Why not consider these alternatives:
Polycarbonate or acrylic mirror sheet. This can be cut to size no problem and is very light
Self adhesive mirror finish film. Easy enough to apply and even lighter. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
