Attaching Mirors to glass wardrobe doors?

My bedroom has some built in wardrobes. They're a nasty pale oak colour (not real wood) with frosted glass doors. I'm going to prime and paint the doors in a nice grey eggshell but I want mirrors where there is glass. I've found a local company that will cut me mirrors to size, but how can I attach the mirrors to the glass? Is there a special kind of adhesive that will hold the mirrors?
Many thanks

Double sided tape, mirror adhesive or silicon.Have a chat with your local glaziers,I used a strong double sided foam tape for mine and they’ve remained fixed for years.Have the edges of the mirrors polished all round for safety and appearance.0

That's great. Thanks, Cullet.
I'm just glad that it's possible. I was worried that I'd get replies saying it wasn't possible and that it was very dangerous.0 -
Get your mirror suppliers to predrill holes so you can bolt to the wood doors.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

That wont be possible Robin9. For a start, I don't want any bolts showing, and secondly, I want the mirrors to fit in the recess where there is currently glass. The doors aren't really wood. They're god only knows what. Melamine covered mdf, I assume.0

Can't you replace the glazed panels with mirrored panels? Adding to the weight would put extra stress on the hinges and other fittings.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

I made 6 mirrored glass wardrobe doors for wife's dressing room and my wardrobe, the door frame recessed to take the 4mm mirror glass and 6mm ply screwed into the frame behind the glass. Those glazed panels must be held into the frame somehow, so take a good look at the back, there must be a way to get the glazed panels out (what would you do if one broke??) then get the glazing company to cut mirrored glass to fit!
Are the doors hinged or sliding? Hinged makes it easy to get them off and play, sliding you will need to probably figure out how to release the bottom of each door (screwdriver into the bottom track to lift the locating pins?) before tipping the bottom forward so you can lift them off the top track.0 -
It doesn't look possible to remove the glass. The door frames around the glass seem moulded somehow, and then a metal bead goes around the edge of the door frame and over the glass. It appears that the only way of getting mirrors onto them would be to stick them to the glass.
(The doors are hinged - each door has four hinges)0 -
Double sided tape, mirror adhesive or silicon.
They are fine on glass but there is a good possibility that it will react with the silver backing of the mirror and end up wrecking it.0 -
How big are these pieces of glass (mirrors)? I'm not sure I fancy the idea of relying only on an adhesive. Have you got kids running round the house?0
