Horizon fine - clueless - what to do

Good morning. apologies I am a bit clueless and could not make sense of the sticky.
Had a parking fine through from Horizon. from a Wilko store. offering £50 fine if paid in 14 days, it clearly isnt me in their ANPR picture but it is my car registration. I do know who the driver was. it was for a 16 minute stay and the car park had always previously had a 15min free for customers to my knowledge. the usage for the car park was due to a patient under the care of the driver taking ill and the driver purchased something for them (unfortunately no receipt, happened just about a week ago)
I am aware i MUST NOT contact them directly and admit liability, but can someone fill me in on what I should do? do i contact the store?
Notice issue date was a few days ago, so what should i do now? do i send one of these templates to horizon or something?
Apologies in advance, was just going to pay it but Im always up for a fight if I know what I am working with.
Thanks.

read post #1 of that NEWBIES thread very carefully first , on a LAPTOP, not a PHONE
the first and best option is a landowner cancellation, so it tells EVERYONE to complain to the retailer or landowner FIRST (possibly WILKO`s ?), to get the pcn (not FINE) cancelled, it is not a "fine", it is an INVOICE
the second issue is what to do next and this depends if the pcn was a windscreen pcn or a postal pcn , I am assuming it was a postal pcn to the KEEPER , So its an NTK ?
if yes, read up what they say about appealing methods and appeal as KEEPER using the blue text template with NO ALTERATIONS WHATSOEVER
no blabbing about who was driving
then download the BPA CoP pdf document from the BPA site and read it , especially read clause #13 on GRACE PERIODS
then wait for a popla code to come back, either by email or by post , from HORIZON, so keep checking your spam folder0 -

Ive had a quick read about the template email.
I have had a PCN and have a PCN number. So first I should contact Wilko? do they have the authority to cancel a PCN? and do i contact the store manager or a national manager? store manager seemed a bit useless.
so if i call wilko, what do I tell them? do i give them details eg who was parking etc? then if i get no joy from them, do i email horizon on their webpage with that template mentioned in the sticky?
Thanks

you tell them that WE visited the store on blah blah , or "my partner" or whatever you wish to use that does not identify the driver , be creative but be vague , if you have receipts or bank statements or store cards , mention those
give them the pcn number , yes, and the name of the parking fiorm, speak to the manager as an annoyed customer and demand it be cancelled asap
we cannot tell you the answers as to their authority, so put them on the spot, if they cannot help, find out who owns the land and complain to them (if WILKO,s are a tenant , find out the M.A. details and complain)
if necessary , complain by email to the WILKO CEO direct
you need to do a poirot on this, the deeper you dig the more you will find out
we cannot give you all the answers, which is why you ferret the info out and then make a loud and strong complaint to the landowner or retailer
if they can get it cancelled , then INSIST on it, if they cannot , then obtain the M.A. details and then go to town on them
but no blabbing about who was driving , the royal WE works wonders in these cases (or , my partner/girlfriend/ex partner etc , sometimes less is more) - so no you dont tell them who parked the car , why would you give out secret info to the enemy ? dont help them to beat you , be smart about it0 -
update: rang them, spoke to store manager. hes asked me to come into store and present the letter horizon sent me, they say they will cancel it through horizon for me, told them we are genuine shoppers and luckily have a copy of the bank transaction with the time and location of the purchase. so fingers crossed that works out for us. will keep you guys posted. thanks!0
