Honey beargood luck with the dental problems. Not nice if you don’t like going to the dentist.

Am feeling a little bit more on top of my stress this weekend, not much more though. Have quit the caffeine, that seems to help subside the panic feelings when I wake up, actually slept last night. MRI didn’t show up anything else suspicious, but CT scan tomorrow. If that is clear then I shall feel a little more reassured. My op is booked for the 15th July. Wanting to try and stay alcohol free as much as possible before then. Also shed a few more pounds, it all must help. I don’t think I will lose the 3 stone I have hanging around somehow though!
Total weight lost 6.5/73lbs starting yet again. Afds August 10/15. /8 Sept.

Back from my holiday and, as expected, 7 consecutive days of drinking (what wasn't expected was a 3lb weight gain!) I didn't go mad but my body is definitely telling me that I need to get back on track. So Shaggy would you please put me down for 5 in the SNC. X

Well done on giving up the caffeine AB. Caffeine is like alcohol; it's a lovely drug but consumption creeps up really easily and slowly over time and the more we drink the more it affects us. Most of us have no idea of the effect it has on us as a result. Like any drug it has real effects and seems to exacerbates stress by disrupting sleep - at the very least.

A lot of people believe decaffeinated coffee gives them headaches - it doesn't, withdrawal symptoms from giving up caffeine causes the headaches. Those withdrawal symptoms indicate there's a problem but a lot of people are in denial about it while suffering from insomnia and, like you, panic attacks.

I weaned myself off caffeine over about two to three weeks and didn't get any headaches. I now love my decaff but I never drink it after 2.00 pm at the very latest.

I'm so sorry you're going through this; it puts my having the vapours over a tooth or two into perspective.

    23/30 please, Shaggy.
    Better is good enough.

11/18 today, I won't hit my target but hopefully will get to 17.
I'm really not feeling great but I can't put my finger on what it is, sometimes I'm headaches, sometimes it's my tummy, maybe I'm tired or maybe it's just my body adjusting to different germs/water etc here.

I know that laying off the booze will help me to feel better, I really do need to make more of an effort

    Anybody else?
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
