That's brilliant season of mists. Well done you!
You're doing well K9 and thank you for trialling the AF wines. Are you trying to be AF as much as possible/give up or trying to cut down?
No drinking planned here today. 3/10 AFDs please Cathy.3 -
Thanks for kind words all . I have counted back and I have only drank on 9 occasions so far this year and nothing at all since 28 March.
Believe me when I say it hasnโt always been like this! I used to read this thread before ever posting and I remember being really struck by someone quoted in the header part who had just completed 5 weeks AF and how good they felt as a result. I recall thinking how unrealistic the idea of 5 weeks AF seemed to me then. I was early 40โs when I first read that and since the age of 15, I had not even gone one whole week in all those years without drinking, so the thought of 5 weeks just seemed...unobtainable. In 2018 I started posting and just took it week by week; my first target was one week, that seemed daunting enough, especially the first weekend. But I made myself do it and then took stock and just thought...well, Iโm still here, the world hasnโt ended, I could do it again, I think. Two weeks. OK, still here. Try a month and see how you get on. That eventually extended to three months, just by taking it in little chunks at a time and reassessing where I was at the end of each bit.ยI definitely donโt have the answers Iโm just saying that it can be done.4 -
4/20 AFDs todayย3
