It's 5/21 for me today
I should declare I had a small amount of Cointreau as an ingredient in a sweet sauce I ate with a dessert yesterday. Last year (I think) we had a discussion regarding sauces with alcohol in them and whether they negated an AFD and the concensus was that they were different from having a drink. Honey Bear said she thought the same principle applied to liqueur chocolates. So yesterday remains an AFD, but I still wanted to say!

Morning 3/13 for me today please4

That’s what they call full disclosure, cathybird!
Interesting question though. Alcohol is volatile isn’t it, I would have thought the heat of cooking with it would remove the active part of the chemical as it would just evaporate off, leaving the Cointreau taste from the other ingredients in the drink. I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m talking rubbish. I remember when I had a real stinking cold last year and I asked on here if adding a measure of whisky to a hot lemon drink would count as an alcoholic drink and I was firmly told that, yes, it certainly would, and that if I needed to ask the question on here about it then I probably knew the answer already! So at least we have covered that one off.
5/30 for me, please. No plans to ingest alcohol in any form, be it in liqueur chocolates / hand sanitiser / a medicinal hot toddy / as the flaming topping on a Christmas pudding.
Have a great weekend everyone.5 -

cathybird said:hi Pricey, the totals I have for you so far looking back over the thread are: Jan 20, Feb 17, March 24, April 20, May 24. On the spreadsheet I had 11 for Feb, so have corrected that to 17, but added up it all comes to 105. Can you pls let me know if you have something different for one of the monthly totals?5
