What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Would you put me down for 5 in the SNC please Shaggy? Thank you. X0

15/28, please Shaggy.
HoneyBear, I would be exhausted if I had done so much, and guests for 2 1/2 weeks!
I would love to be able to just have a single glass but unless that is what I order in a restaurant it just doesn't happen. The only reason I don't drink too much when eating out is because of the cost of wine in restaurants.
At home it is never just one glass; I wish it could be but I now accept it isn't ever going to be like that, so best for me to avoid, (doesn't always happen!), drinking at home. I've tried so many different approaches - buying expensive wine; only if it's the weekend etc. - sooner or later I'm back to drinking too many evenings and, let's be honest, on the weekend wine o'clock could start at lunchtime!
The monthly grocery bill is down by well over £100 - so another good reason to stick to the 'no drinking at home' rule.0 -
Hope things are getting better Honeybear. It sounds a very wearing week and you have survived, well done. Glad to hear our transatlantic cousins have been helpful and not too obsessive.
13/18 AFDs and 1/5 for SNC for this week please Shaggy.0 -

Whatever motivates you rosy. If it works that's fine.:) I know that I should put health at the top of the list but I know it's consuming empty calories that stops me drinking daily. Sheer vanity.:o
I've got a strange week coming up. Lots on, some of which could end up with a social drink. Nobody's forcing me but I want to leave my options open so won't be calling early some days including today.:)0 -
15/25 AFDs today0
