To answer your question doingitanyway, I don’t really have anything as sensible as a plan. I just try and do my best and see how I get on! Not sure if you followed this thread last year (?), I did go 6 months straight without having a drink at all, honestly at the end of that I’d got so out of the habit that I just didn’t feel like drinking and I almost had to sort of consciously push myself to start again and was very restrained when I did so. Which did come as something of a surprise to me, after drinking too much for too many years. Not sure I’ll do the 6 months again this year - very different set of circumstances of course - I’m only looking as far ahead as the end of this month and then I’ll see where I’m at.6 -

Wow 6 months. That is brilliant. It is a good idea to see where you are at the end of this month. Maybe I'll keep you company if you decide to do another month who knows? I haven't gone several months before maybe I would lose the desire too...? It's been great to be part of this thread where I don't feel weird in thinking about my alcohol intakeIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Very understandable Sukeyboo in the circumstances. I remember the shock of being made redundant. I'm not sure I would have reined it in as quickly to be honest. I'll look forward to seeing you reach target.Wanna-bee-free too, good luck in achieving the star this week. Better to keep posting and reading; I tend to stop both when off track and it takes effort to re-start.Declaring early today so 17/18 - so close!4

I calculated I am currently 14 days behind my 150 day target - 30% to my target and 40% of the way through this crazy year.
Sukeyboo, I am very impressed with how quickly you've come back here and been AF again -> well done!!4 -
Thanks everyone for your very kind words and encouragement - you really are a lovely bunch 🥰.
Aiming to be AF today and I feel confident enough to declare early on 11/12 please cathybird2
