    Sorry to read that Sukeyboo.

Marahouti I loved your idea of swinging on a star day - I hope to be there on Thursday and it will make me smile all day - thanks Cathybird too.

Declaring early again so 12/18 for today, Tuesday.

I’m on 9/19 for yesterday. I’ve worked out I can drink once this week to put me back on track to make target. Given the warm weather coming up and a friend keeps leaving me a more expensive bottle of wine than I would buy on my doorstep, it’s going to be tricky. But I’ll try.

Last week was very stressful for various reasons and I did turn to wine. 🙄. So now I have some ground to make still.
But I didn’t drink Sunday or Monday and not planning to until the end of the week.
A friend of mine said to me, her and her husband are sharing a bottle of wine every night at the moment, sometimes 2 at the weekends.
I think a lot of people are using alcohol as  a reward for the end of day or for dealing for stress, anxiety or bereavement.
Live for the moment and plan for the future

Sorry to hear your news sukey. It must be particularly hard as you've worked there for so long.
    No plans to drink today.

Sorry to hear your news sukeyboo. I've been through it too and its't nice. Take care.
19/31 for me please. I had a stressful few hours and nearly gave in to a glass of wine. Happily the craving (if it was a craving?) passed :)

Thanks for all your good wishes - there are only 6 members of staff and most of us have been there for several years although I am the longest serving. I will come out of it fairly well financially but at 55 I’m not at the best age to find another job 😱.

At least I am managing to stay AF so I am on 9/12 for today please cathybird
  • Been absent for a few days, sometimes MSE randomly logs me out, even though I haven’t updated / made changes to my device and I tick the ‘always signed in’ option, then it didn’t want to match my password to my username...strange. Anyway.

Also sorry to hear your news sukeyboo. 23 years is a long time to spend with one employer and you must have felt some measure of security with them. I’m sure you’ll be able to find something else. It is so tough at the moment though, I am not sure my OH will have a job to go back to, it is a small business and they may just keep the shutters down at the end of this, it is the small scale employers who are struggling the most as the margins are often so tight and they have little or no reserves to draw on.

I am keeping it AF though. 20/31 as of today thank you cathybird. I’d like to make May another AF month then do the same in June if possible and see where I’m at before thinking about the three months after that.
