Would you (and the family) normally have been drinking when you got together? It really is a social lubricant, and it's only when we cut back or stop that we realise just how irritating a lot of people can be!
7/31 please, Shaggy.
Yes Honey bear I find that with my friends. No have been feeling a bit miffed lately about how much I do at home. My kids who live at home are all adults but it’s still ‘mum what’s for tea’ every night. My OH spends a lot of his time lying on the bed watching telly as sitting hurts his back. I think I get so p*ssed off at times it’s a reason why I reach for the wine bottle. I need to man up and make them do things or do a Shirley Valentine. My favourite film! Will be putting my feet up for five days on Friday, but will be constantly worrying about my pooches.
Thanks Glendasugarbean.

Thanks all. I’ve preventative plans for every evening through until Sunday. But that will be day 12. As long as I eat early it seems to be ok.
Awful nights sleep though. Kept waking up and didn’t feel like I had much deep sleep.
Well done GreenKaren for your brilliant run of days. That’s amazing. 31 seems huge for me but I’m just looking at 1 day at a time.
I’ve lost 2lbs this week. Nothing’s changed except no drinking. However I can’t afford to lose any really, so I need to be mindful I don’t lose anymore. Sorry that’s really annoying for those that are dieting. I understand how hard it is for some.Live for the moment and plan for the future0 -

That would really annoy me too. It might be time to sit everyone down and explain how you feel and that you’re not a servant to them all. Adult children can stay in a child role without meaning too. Time to sort out a rota?Live for the moment and plan for the future0 -
