Morning all. On the talk of birds, I live right on the edge of town by fields and all we seem to have is magpies. They seem to have driven all the birds away, so sad. We did used to have a robin I fed and if his bowl was empty he would sit by you on the garden table until it was filled again! I must try putting food out again.

Most DIY problems can be solved by a combination of spanner, pliers, screwdriver, Allan key and a blade. (Hold it, twist it, cut it!) Very occasionally industrial language, a hammer and an adhesive may need to be added to the mix. (Curse it, hit it, patch it!)0 -
Good afternoon everyone,

12/15 for today please Shaggy
On the subject of birds, we are very lucky as we live in a rural area - we have wrens, long-tailed tits, blue tits, great spotted and green woodpeckers (the latter of which are the most beautiful birds but very, very shy), rooks, and all the usual garden birds such as wood-pigeons, robins, blackbirds, thrushes and the cute little sparrows which I still love as, when I lived in London, they were about the only garden birds we had then0 -
Loved reading about the birds in everyone's garden! Fab!
We have 2 squirrel busting bird feeders both filled with sunflower hears which the finches and tits love (and the parakeets). We have a bird feeder filled with fat balls. The starlings love these. A bird table filled with mixed bought bird food - but also I put left over bread out (grannary and seeded). The other day I put out left over home made flap jacks! I tend to leave bread all over the lawn this time of year too. The birds seem particularly hungry now it's so frosty. I'm thinking of buying a seeded loaf later just for them! What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
