loveasale, hope you work things out with your other half - it sounds stressful :( I've updated your goal for the year. x

Thanks Kathy , not sure if I’m suffering from holiday blues and very over emotional at the moment and putting 2and 2 together to get 55 !
I honestly don’t think he’s in any sort of relationship or having an affair , but can’t help the way I feel :(
This is really not ME , but on the up side it’s keeping me off booze so I can’t get into a drunken argument that I will regret when sober !,

Well it can be really hard to know what to make of something like a text. Hard not to be suspicious though, simply because you don't know. :( I hope it all sorts itself out quickly and I hope he's not doing the wrong thing! xx

Good morning everybody, this is my first post on this thread so would like to congratulate you all on the excellent support and achievements it looks like you have made.

Myself, like so many people, had found myself slipping into bad habits regarding mid week drinking with it actually being rare not to have a couple of Ales or a bottle of red wine most days.

Last week there was a 2-4-1 deal on Audible (I love listening to audio books and podcasts) and came across 'The Easy Way to Control Alcohol - By Allen Carr'? so thought i would give it a go, partly out of interest as the reviews were really good and partly with the intention of getting some tips to cut down my alcohol intake.

The book hasn't worked as i expected it to... instead of cutting down I now feel no desire to drink alcohol whatsoever!! It's a very strange feeling as I thought I really enjoyed craft beers and nice red wine previously and that drinking alcohol provided me with some kind of benefit, when actually neither of those things are actually true.

Admittedly it's still early days for me, but the beauty of it is that it doesn't take any willpower following this method for it to work.

If you are interested in quitting or cutting down I would definitely recommend the audio book.

Has anyone else read it, or perhaps the smoking one?

    Dan

Welcome LupusLou. Good to have you posting again, whoever you [STRIKE]are[/STRIKE] were!:D Shaggy will add you when she next posts our scores.:)

Thanks for the links Dan. I've not read the books personally but others have. Having it as an audio book might be useful.:)

Sorry to hear you're still stressed by the situation with the BF loveasale. It does sound potentially innocent as many of us (me included) have male friends. I was interested in some of Helen Mirren's comments yesterday. I think she'd say that I get on famously with my male friends because I have 'male' characteristics so we discuss football or politics but certainly nothing that could be considered romantic. That being said, I discuss those topics with my female friends too so maybe I just seek out like minded people regardless of gender. :)

Another AF day for me today.

    2/10 AFDs please Shaggy

hi LupusLou, welcome back! :) You're not Paspatur? ... Scatterbrain109? Purplemumof2? Mudbath? Eltee12? ElusiveLucy? Poor_Single_Lady? All posters round about the time the thread disappeared who don't seem to be around any more.
