Rewiring Virgin Cable outside of house

I had Virgin installed a few years back and the cable ran infront of my house, I was out at the time so didnt realise they would do this (partly my fault for not telling them).
I wanted it going around the back of my house so its not visible, its a bit of an eyesore.
Anyone done this before and will Virgin charge to do this? If not, just wondering if anyone has cut the cable and used a cable extension to move it? If so, what kind of cable and junction box would you need to extend it?

No they won't move an existing installation.
The cable that comes up from the street is shot gun cable. (two cables side by side). 1 being coax. 1 being twisted pair for phone blues/oranges)
I wouldn't mess with it, unless you can move it without another joint.
It's likely to slow down your connection.0 -

Yes even break the cable .0

If you want to move your TV inside, have a look on ebay.
Search for virgin F Type connector.
And you maybe able to get a joiner, and new cable.
But if you are going to add a significant length of cable you may have signal loss.
Or if you have a splitter where it comes in the house, run a new cable from there if easier (and disconnect current one)0 -

There will be a brown junction box on your property were the run of cable from the cabinet terminates and the run into the house starts. I'm not sure how the phone part of the cable connects up but the TV cable that goes to your router and TV box is done with F connectors.
If you know what you are doing and use the correct cable and connectors it's unlikely that the extra run is going to alter the signal level at the equipment because it probably already runs 100m or more to the cabinet. I still wouldn't advise moving it around though as I imagine it breaks your T&C and could end up causing you pain. How ugly can a run of coax really be?0 -
The splitters inside the house have different dB outputs, depending on the length of cable attached in the house0
