Short code SMS query on o2 pay as you go

Hi

Can anyone on o2 pay as you go confirm whether SMS short codes (such as sending a text to pay for parking) work?

I used to be with EE, and short code SMS worked with them, but then I moved to ID and it didn't work when I tried it. I couldn't find anything on the ID website, but when I tried it, the text sent, it cost lots more than it should have done (20p instead of 2p) and the text never arrived. I did find something online that implies some networks don't support short code SMS sending.

I'm just about to move to 02, and would like to be able to use the MI permit to park app if possible via short code SMS sending if possible.

It is possible to pay via the app without the SMS sending but it's easier via the SMS method.

Can anyone confirm?
