Time to get water meter installed

Howdy

Now that theres only 2 of us @ home in 3 bedroom house , seems a no-brainer to get a water meter

I'm with Severn Trent and applied for water meter about 10 weeks ago , 2 weeks ago the engineer came out and because the internal location was not accessible to fit a water meter said that meter would have to be installed in pavement stopcock, chap just sprayed the water cover in pavement with yellow paint and left

2 weeks later heard nothing ...

Any one had an experience with time to fit external water meter at stockcock in pavement ? in particular with Severn Trent ?
