I don't like IE or Edge, Slimjet won't remember my homepage, Firefox keeps stalling (I can't be assed to keep doing the fixes), Opera and Chrome don't have a side panel which I like. Any suggestions?

TIA

My favourite is qutebrowser, but I prefer applications where my hands aren't forced to leave the keyboard.

I've been using Firefox for years, and while there were some performance problems in the past I certainly don't have any issue with it now, so perhaps it's something else in your set up that is causing it to stall and require fixes.

I'd rather just use another browser but thanks anyway.

I've tried most of them, always return to chrome. Exactly what do you mean or want in side panel. Presumably you have your fav running along the top. Those I use everyday, are in a folder called "Today" and when I click on it, all those appear in a drop down list. Other than that, I don't km w what you mean.

Everyone will have their favourite browser and all will swear it's the best one.
I moved from FF to Opera and have now gone back to FF as it's stable for me and gives me no problems.

I'm not keen on Chrome so, haven't been back to it in a while. Vivaldi is another Opera like browser that worked well...

Just download 3 or 4 and pick the one with the most positive ticks for you.

^^^ This in a nutshell. There's no substitute for just installing and trying lots of browsers, and I've found that no single one ticks ALL my boxes so use different ones for different things - don't limit yourself to one single browser when you don't have to.

I tend to use Yandex mostly these days, but also use IE, FF and even use an older version of Opera (v12.16) for certain stuff :)

Yep, I use Chrome usually and usually recommend it to customers at work but the reCaptcha seems to be messed up at the moment so have to recommend Firefox to them. No doubt that'll change in a months time again.

I installed Brave on Android a while ago. Then, in order to sync bookmarks, I installed on Windows too. So far, I'm pretty impressed with both. The only irritation I have with the Windows version is the random photo/wallpaper images on the homepage and new tabs, but that's a pretty minor gripe.
