What's the best browser?

Thanks for your suggestions. Apparently, for me anyway, Firefox is unresponsive when downloading large files and the reason being it has an insufficient buffer to decrypt data in the browser.
I've used most browsers in my 20+ years of surfing and I'm not sure there's anything in my set up to cause any problems. I have a 'C' Disk SD8SNAT-128G-1006 (SSD), plus a 931GB Western Digital WDC WD10SPCX-60KHST0 (SATA), with 8.00GB Dual-Channel @ 1064MHz RAM. I have used Slimjet in the past on Vista and XP but have been on W10 for a couple of years but it refuses to remember my homepage.
Anyway, I'll play around with your suggestions. And thanks again.0 -

There isn't one best web browser they are all good for particular things.
-Chrome (Best for general use and cross platform support)
-Edge (Great for steaming sites)
-Firefox (For low power users)
-Internet explorer (For using college / government services)0 -
Heard a few good things about Brave. Will try it out as I'm not entirely satisfied with FF anymore. Thanks.0

IME Brave is presently a strong choice for the best Browser (built in privacy & adblocking from the base up). I use it on my OnePlus 6T phone. But on there I also have Firefox which I prefer on iPad! Firefox synchs well to the PC version too. At work I’m locked to either IE or Chrome. I hate IE & Edge with a passion!jameskotler wrote: »There isn't one best web browser they are all good for particular things.

For low power users !?! :rotfl: I’ve got 50+ tabs open on Firefox on a crappy iPad Mini at the moment and it doesn’t miss a beat!0 -

Haven't you just proved the point made?0 -
Personally I like Chrome, it is the best for me. If it doesn't meet your requirements, of course, you need to find another one. I heard that many people like Safari, have you tried it?-1

It's all about connectivity for me. if you use Google Photos, contacts, bookmarks etc it is easier to use chrome"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0
