Yellow Cars in particular.
WHY?????
No offence to yellow car owners, it's not *you* personally
Do they think that by driving round like a little pinky perky ray of sunshine on wheels it'll cheer up the motoring public whilst stuck in a jam on the M6? Errrr - no, sorry, not working here!!
Do they think that by driving round in a car like a high visibility builder's vest that other motorists will not hit them? Sorry, reverse psychology guys, actually makes you easier to spot !!!
What's worse than yellow cars, are the not-quite-yellow, not-quite-green ones that closely resemble the colour of snot and phlegm
Why on earth would anyone go and choose that colour out of free will?
Yellow cars are just not right.

Not fond of yellow myself....but I remember reading an insurance thing where they said the safest cars on the road were yellow.Herman - MP for all!0

that's because nobody else gets close to them, they're so bright.
I'm not keen either, but I've seen some lovely blue shades, and salmon pinks.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
Can't say i'm particularly a fan of yellow cars , especially bright yellow and I wouldn't choose to have one myself , but my elder daughter got a yellowy gold ( Sahara Yellow ) Peugeot 206 recently which wasn't a colour she really wanted , but being impatient , didn't want to wait for a blue one to become available  It's grown on us though and I think it looks quite classy. I have seen a few cars in that colour or similar , but it's not as common as muck like blue , silver or red .Ours is common , being blue
My Dad had a bright yellow Opel Manta in the seventies , which again was not his first choice of colour , but because he got a discount with my Mum working for the Car dealership he had to take what was available. You couldn't miss it though and as aliasojo says , it's probably one of the safest colours.
I do agree that some of the greeny or mustardy yellows are just plain disgusting , they look like the colour of pukeSame old same old since 20080 -
Why do people when buying a car follow fashion and pick the "in" colour. How many silver cars are there on the roads now - it has rather lost the smart look it had when first introduced as there weren't that many around.
The saddest paint job of all had to be that small car that came out with each wing in a different colour...was it a Polo, Fiat Uno or something similar? Whatever it was it was vile..think they have all been resprayed, thankfully.0 -
I seem to remember one of the car auction programmes saying that these are good to pick up at auction (the car in question that day was metallic pink  :money: ) - few dealers bid for them as they take forever to shift from their forecourt and make them look as if they don't sell much. They also have limited appeal so often need to be resprayed, so if you don't mind the colour or have any mechanic/spraying type contacts they can be quite an economical buy.Annabeth Charlotte arrived on 7th February 2008, 2.5 weeks early0
