Halifax switch incentive eligibility... "since Jan 2012"

Fair enough, and thanks for your reply. I just thought of it as if you said "Jesse Lingard hasn't scored for England since the world Cup", nobody would correct you and say "yea, he scored in the quarter final"... it would mean after the end of the world Cup... which made me think this means after the end of January
But he did score in the competition, and you did switch in that January0 -

Jesse Lingard, have you scored since the world Cup? "No, I last scored during the world Cup"
Dwattsy21, have you got a switch incentive since January 2012? "No, I last got a switch incentintive during January 2012"
"You are not eligible for the offer if you have previously received any other offer or benefits for switching to a Halifax bank account at any point since January 2012."0 -
That's nice. You're still not eligible.urs sinserly,

So January the 2nd counts as "since January". Its annoying they haven't just given an exact date.
I'd say even the 1st of January would have counted, it's kinda vague but I don't think they were being purposefully misleading or decided after the event to penalise you on personally.
My favourite is the phone companies that say that your service will switch at midnight on the 1st of February. I say that midnight is 00:00 and so that will be first thing in the morning on the 1st. However what they seem to mean is 23:59:59 on the 1st, just before midnight (when the date will then be the 2nd).
I'm not saying that it wasn't worth a go, but since they say no and there is a reasonable way to interpret the T&C that backs it up then it seems like what they are saying was their intention all along.0
