Halifax switch incentive eligibility... "since Jan 2012"

Hi all,
I've been going through the bank accounts for the free incentives, and want to do Halifax. I was with them years ago, and after hassle of phoning and going in to store I've found out that I already recieved a switch incentive on 19th Jan 2012.
On the website, it just says this, and I can't find any more detailed terms...
"You are not eligible for the offer if you have previously received any other offer or benefits for switching to a Halifax bank account at any point since January 2012."
To me this means I'll be fine because "since Jan 2012" means Anywhen after 23.59 on 31st Jan 2012. And I recieved my bonus before then. However the lady in branch said I wouldn't be eligible because I got a bonus in January...
Do you agree that I am eligible? I tried calling them but was on hold for 10 mins, got through, and they said they need to transfer me to another dept. and the automated voice said the wait could be up to 40 minutes. So gave up.
Thanks for your advice in advance.

Put it this way - if I used the phrase 'since 2019', not many people would interpret that as excluding all of 2019.0

A month begins on the 1st so my reading would be if you had got a bonus before january you would have been ok but sadly you won't be eligible£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120

You'd be arguing on a technicality that doesn't even really help you all that much given the intent of the offer is quite clear.urs sinserly,

Thanks for your reply but I don't really understand what you mean?0 -

To 99.9% of people it’ll mean since January, which would be from the 1st of January onwards.====0 -

Only Halifax know the answer.
And you chose not to wait for a definitive from them.0 -

"Since January" includes January, no reasonable person would think otherwise. And the intent of the offer is to stop people who have had switching cashback before from getting it again, your idea is "I should get switching cashback again".
You're on a hiding to nothing, basically.urs sinserly,

Fair enough, and thanks for your reply. I just thought of it as if you said "Jesse Lingard hasn't scored for England since the world Cup", nobody would correct you and say "yea, he scored in the quarter final"... it would mean after the end of the world Cup... which made me think this means after the end of January0
