Hi my stepson is in the army based in Germany. He has bought a car from a forces dealer in Germany, but the car is being delivered to our home address in the UK while he is on leave. He will be in the UK for one week before he returns to Germany, does he have to tax the car here for the week, or does it come under German regulations??
Many thanks in advance! 😁0 -
The car is exempt as it is marked for export and will come with a pink VX302 document similar to a V5. He can use it for up to 60 days in the UK (after which road tax would be the least of his problems - although many years ago I knew someone who had around 6 cars registered to him but we never saw any of them in Germany !).
