Currently i have a Kia Picanto and our new edition to family a Pointer doesn't really fit so am after something with more room.
Don't really want a big car so wondering what cars others have and what dogs they can fit in them?
Would like something with a little poke as had 6 years struggling up hills with little KIA

I'd suggest an estate car of some sort as you'll need a fair amount of room for a pointer.0

Van based MPV's like Berlingos, Kangoos and Doblos tend to be quite popular with owners of bigger dogs.0

We fit two border collie dogs in my Mondeo. My parents have no problem putting their pointers in their 2005 Vauxhall Astra Estate when they go dog showing and will often take a couple of them.
You don't need a van based MPV. My wife has a Renault Trafic, she can fit all the dogs from her flyball team in it. A van based MPV is just overkill for a dog or two.0 -
I'd recommend a mid-size estate. Perhaps a Ford Focus or Skoda Octavia. Both have powerful engines available if needed. You might even fit the Pointer into a Skoda Fabia VRs Estate. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0

I bought my car specifically for my dogs ! it is a Peugeot 2008. Its a crossover type vehicle so bigger than a car smaller than a S.U.V
Suits my border collie and springador perfectly.0 -
Tbh one of our dogs will try to get in any car she can - whether I own it (or know the person who does) or not. I've gotten wise to her making a beeline for them now, but there was at least two red necks before it clicked.
I'd say it would depend on how long the dog tends to be in the car for.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
once had a donkey in the back of a austin maxi , ok it was a small donkey and we were only going to the seaside to see if he liked0

Honda Jazz has lots of room for dogs and a nice flat floor too when the rear seats are folded down.0
