Calor LPG price hike - contract breach

After receiving a 10p per litre price hike letter on 23/03 I reviewed my contract...... pleased to say that they are in breach of section 6.2 and confirmed the same on the telephone, allowing me the right to give 30 days notice. I’ve done so today and switched to fix in at a cheaper price with an alternative supplier! I’m posting this on here as they advised on the phone they are not allowed to tell their customers and it’s only if the customer approaches them within 30 days of the letter that they can leave their contracts. Hope this helps someone else! My contract states they can increase by a maximum of 3.5ppl.

I'm not surprised at all. They did it to me a few years ago and was my reason for leaving.

They rely on the fact that most customers do not read their contracts.

    Well done, by the way!
