    Notwithstanding the fact my last post has been culled, I still smell a rat. Feel free to cull this one too.

    Perhaps OP would like to tell us the statement narrative that accompanies the seeming re-billing of their balance transfer. There is no reason not to be open about this sort of thing right from the start.

    Instead of useful details we are told it appeared as 'spending', all about kitchen improvements and credit limit increase letters.

    Sorry OP if you think I am being unnecessarily harsh - I'm trying to be as helpful as you are.

    All that said, it is HSBC...
