A quick Google proves it's quite common & new sumps are about £20.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

If the sump has rusted as badly as the one on our old Panda 1.2 had by the time it was five years old that plan will just result in a massive waste of time for all concerned. When I tried to remove the drain plug to change the oil on ours the whole surrounding area ripped away!
As I found subsequently it's quite common, and replacements are cheap. The worst part of the job is cleaning the old silicone sealant/adhesive from the bottom of the block (they don't use gaskets anymore!) before fitting the new one.0
