Ikea Kitchen nightmare experience

Ill keep this as short as i can.

With IKEA you have to pay upfront for the fitting and installation which is fine - then supplementarys( plastering , moving sockets etc) whilst the kitchen is fitted.

So we paid in August 2018 to be fitted end of November 2018. THey actually tried to deliver the full kitchen in september for me to store till fitting date .( i rejected)

When fitting did happen , there were all sorts off issues we had to change cupboard sizes as they would be hitting the cooker hood - this didnt show up on measurements. The cooker hood we ordered was fitted then the fitter realised it was too big..we had to get a cheaper smaller hood.
Once finished - we starting noticing snags - the Worktop had been fitted badly and had quite a few damages on it.The oven had a fault from the word go. They wanted to send someone to repair it which i refused as it had been fitted broken. They have since fitted a new one.
Hob had a scratch -im not going to list them all as ill be here all day.
anyway we had an ikea assessor out who agreed with all my snags and also found a few of his own.
I have always been reasonable as things can go wrong with any installation. But now we are at a point were they have tried and failed 4 times to fit the new work top ( we have to wait 4 to 6 weeks each time as its custom made due to it not being an off the peg length that ikea provide). The reasons vary from not sending the Worktop already damaged to the last attempt they custom made it to the wrong size. Even though its been fitted once.
A little sample of the inept service was when having the cupboards fitted , they missed a front off so the fitter rang to get one sent over, They sent a TV cabinet!! Normally id find it funny but ive run out of patience.
Anyway after the 4th attempt ( we have to keep taking Holidays - 7 in total not including the fit) ive called a halt to it, Ive told them i have no conficdence in their ability to fit what is quite a simple kitchen.I told them (in temper) that i wanted them to take it away and give me a full refund. To my suprise they have agreed but not to all the supplementarys which total £1500.
I finally got to talk to a Team leader at the weekend who told me my options are to let them finish the kitchen and then put in a letter of complaint so they can make me an offer of compensation or get them to take the kitchen out.
At the moment i dont want them to finish the kitchen till i know a ballpark figure i will recieve back. If they finish it then i lose position of getting a full refund.
I never went with ikea thinking at somepoint id want Compensation. We dont do this type of thing but i want to know at least i had value for money.
Im also mystified why they are willing to take the kitchen out and potentially write off all the cost - unless they recharge the supplier?
Im certainly not abusive or obnoxious with anyone so im not a problem customer and its not that they haven't been trying to rectify but its just been embarrassingly incompetent.

Any ideas what to do ? Or the best way forward would be appreciated.
I have made this as short as possible and not listed all the damages sent and mistakes they have made.

I’d let them finish but keep a list of all the hassle you’ve had then allocate a reasonable amount of compensation for each of those items ie £75 (whatever) for waiting in for a failed delivery etc. Tot it all up and send them the bill at the end.

    Hi. That sounds a nighmare.

Please can you tell us what happens and it was IKEA that I was going to try for my next kitchen. This one is coming to the end of its lifespan. I done the new worktops and new doors thing but even then you only get another 5 or so years as the carcasses start to fail.

Hope you get everything sorted. I hate getting major works like this done.

It's just my experience but they have been awful. I really didn't expect this.

    We have an Ikea kitchen.

We did not use them to install it we did it ourselves and we are very happy with the end result.
