.... and are happy to give their bank account details along with authority to set up direct debits on their behalf to a relatively unknown company.

Then the people who couldn't be bothered to spend any time trying to save money can spend some time trying to salvage what's left of their bank accounts0 -

I would never recommend using a company like this but account details arn't exactly secret, they are printed on every cheque which are given to third parties all the time.
Plus if anyone sets up a Direct Debit on your account you can get any money back easily with the guarantee.0 -
LAMB are doing nothing that you can't do yourself in 15 mins every month - read your meter yourself and use comparison sites.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

Thanks everyone. Hadn’t googled them so didn’t know they wanted your bank details... will steer clear! 😊WoWoJulie :cheesy:0

Nice idea, and Dragons' Den thought it was great, and I've even thought about offering a similar sort of service to (mainly elderly) local people who don't have or even want internet access, but soon realised they would have to entrust you with a lot of their personal information.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. From their "Privacy policy":
Bit more information than is shown on a cheque. They also go on to list 5 partners they use for processing your data.

I was just replying to the bit about bank details because some people think that they are very sensitive information and anyone can take money from your account if they have them, but in reality they can't.
Like i said i certainly wouldn't recommend anyone giving their details to a company like this which is completely unnecessary when you can get a better deal yourself.0
