Best SIM for a week in Portugal?

My granddaughter is going to Portugal for a week very soon. She has a Vodafone Basics £6 per month SIM which cannot be used outside the UK.
What is the best SIM I could get for her to enable her to keep in touch while she's away?

Tell her to use a WiFi hotspot and use Whatsapp or similar, absolutely no point in another sim for a whole week.

I suspect it depends on how much mobile usage there will be.
If wifi is not an option then here is one thing to consider ...
