Not really. RM CS work 7 days on twitter

Good luck trying to get an investigation done by their Twitter team or even a response in a timely manner. I couldn't comment on whether or not they work on a Sunday, but the quickest way to get anything done is to call their Customer Service line.

Custardy's avatar indicates his profession, so if anyone on the board is likely to know about Royal Mail and their procedures it's him. He's a prolific and informative poster on the topic.

If it’s in Ireland....you’re snookered...if it’s in Northern Ireland...you should be ok...it’s not surprising you may be having postal deliveries if you’re not sure what country it’s in....lol...hope you get it resolved ok.

If you are going to try and act smart, it's always best to check your facts first.
The whole island is called Ireland. It's just that it is divided into two separate parts, the republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
So, if the OP's package is in Belfast then it is Ireland but more specifically, Northern Ireland.

I've dealt with Royal Mail myself on a large amount of occasions, that's why I'm offering information - I'm not just making it up. You don't have to be a postman to know that a phone call is quicker than waiting for a Twitter investigation on a Sunday :)

Well I can see why you ended up having posts removed from your thread.............

What thread would that be? I don't see how offering a realistic course of action is breaking rules in any way.

So. You call RM CS. They check the tracking.
If it shows its in the RLB,they can send a message to the RLB regarding RTS to the OP.
If it isnt showing in the RLB then they can message the delivery office asking for its location.
If you contact twitter they can do the same as above. RM CS have access to a variety of databases but intranet tracking shows little more than the customer based system when you are referring to basic location.

If they can do all that on a Sunday within the same amount of time as a phone call and get back within a reasonable amount of time that's great. I wouldn't have thought delivery office etc were open on a Sunday, but if you say it's worth a shot then hopefully the OP will see this and give it a try.

But you still took issue with what I said and suggested I was breaking some rule by posting it. I'm not trying to be rude to anyone so apologies if anything comes across that way. In my experience Twitter replies are very slow so that's all I was commenting on.

Some are open Sundays, however it doesn't matter if they are open.
This is all done on the internal complaint resolution system.
Come Monday morning the system updates at 7am (for delivery offices) with the previous days complaints/enquiries
