Booking problems

Hi,
On Monday I went to book flights via Edreams website. When I clicked to pay, the website said that Ryanair had increased their prices since I started booking. As it was only £20, I confirmed the booking and clicked proceed. When I did this, the page took forever to load and then eventually said there had been an error and to try again. I decided not to bother, as twice the payment process had failed.
I then proceeded to book on jet2 (on the actual website), and found some flights.
Later on when I checked my emails, I had received a booking confirmation from edreams saying my flights had in fact been booked with Ryanair (now I have ended up with 2 flights) even though the website said it failed.
I have rung edreams as it was their website fault but am struggling to get anywhere with them.
Am I entitled to a refund as it was their fault? How should I go about the situation?
Thanks

I suggest you take this up with your card provider... whether or not you are entitled to a refund (I suspect that you are not), eDreams is unlikely to respond to you nor give you any satisfaction: basically they do not do customer service.
Was the amount charged precisely the same that you agreed before the payment apparently failed? EDreams sometimes sneakily add a booking fee, and if they did that to you then you ought to be able to claim a chargeback.0 -
Not sure why you decided to use eDreams to book a Ryanair flight. Ryanair’s own website would have been the cheapest.
In hindsight, it would have perhaps been wise to check with eDreams/your credit card provider to see if the booking went through and payment taken, before going on to book another flight with another airline.
I would go with Voyager2002 approach and suggestion. This I sadly expect will turn into a time consuming and possibly frustrating exercise. Good luck.0 -
eDreams have one of the worst reputations ever.
Go to the Air Travel board on Tripadvisor and do a search.
A lot of other 3rd party flight sellers are similar.
Going forward, always do your research about you you're giving your money to.
Follow Voyager2002's advice about contacting your card provider, although I wouldn't hold out much hope unless you have a screenshot of the 'error' page.0
