You have options but seeing as you have no contract in place, none of those options gives you the right to force the vendor to move into rented accommodation. You having agreed to do that in the past has nothing to do with this purchase, however annoyed you feel about it unfortunately.

If you want to pull out to teach the "liar" a lesson, the sooner you do the better. You will have already incurred expenses and these will increase the longer you leave it.
