TalkTalk nightmare

Options
Morning all,
I am new to this forum so be gentle!
We are having a nightmare with TalkTalk, we switched from Sky on 15th March and the broadband hasnt worked since. 2 visits from OpenReach, replacement router, multiple calls to a non helpful helpline and still nothing. We have also already paid for the first month.
I am extremely frustrated so want to switch Plusnet. I rang and spoke to the loyalty team and they confirmed there would be no early exit fees.
However we have now received a letter saying there would be exit fees and another call (to the same team) has confirmed there WILL be fees tp pay.
I have already written to the CEO , just waiting for a reply, but I find it impossible to speak to someone who knows what they are doing!
Has anyone else has any similar issues? Or are there any other channels I can try?
Many thanks

I would avoid TalkTalk. I recently changed to Vodaphone 3/4G from Talk Talk when internet access from Talk Talk stopped for two days, then a few weeks later it stopped for a week or so. I paid a fortune for access via 3G during those stoppages. Talk Talk were charging me £35 a month. When I asked to change they said that because I was a valued customer, I could have faster fibre broadband for £25 a month. It turns out that is the standard price. For years those *******s have been charging me more than others as a reward for loyalty. I won’t touch the *******s. Valued customer? My ars*, someone to screw more like. I now pay £20 a month for 100 GB data a month on my phone which I use as a WiFi hotspot.

What makes me angry about Talk Talk is the basic dishonesty. In the past I’ve had no access, and been told it’s fine. At least recently they admitted the fault, but did they compensate me for the money I paid to get access during their down time? Nope. Instead they made sure I paid more for loyalty.
