EE Biling

My partner took out a contract in store with EE on the basis that they were beating the price of a deal he saw online. This was costing him £42 per month. However on the second month he was billed £58. In store nothing was mentioned about £58 as we were under the impresssion the original cost was £48 but they were discounted this to achieve the price promise.
Since looking back at his paperwork they have put £58 in the monthly price and he has obviously signed this (stupid I know) and there is no mention of the price promise or discount applied.
Is there anything we can do about this?
Thank you in advance.

Legally, without proof, no.
I’d go back and speak to the branch manager as a first step, do it politely and firmly and ask where the promised discount has gone.====0 -
Assuming the first month (allowing for part of a month) was in line with what you were expecting (though you may have got that wrong because of the part month added to one full month) you can also show that the first month was as promised and not consistent with the higher month 2 charge. You'll still be struggling for proof of what you agreed to, but at least it would show they had applied what was promised at the time for the frirst month. However, you'd need to make absolutely sure you understand the first month figure.0
