Glad someone has started a thread on this. No one has done so in Site Feedback and I can't find anything in Forum Policy & Rules to indicate a change of stance on the Welsh psyche.

As a somewhat Welsh person with a Welsh name, I expect nothing less than a full apology from Martin himself for this slight on Welsh mental health.*

*It's true, I don't actually live in Wales, but if it weren't for the weather, the people and some of the architecture, I'd be over there enjoying the richness of my heritage.

Surely all should be insulted - English, Welsh, Scots, Irish etc etc etc

Artful: Sadly born England, dad born Old Kent Road 1903 considered himself Welsh, proud son of immigrant mum born in Brazil.

If it was spelt Dafydd instead would you find it easier to believe?

I thought Dafydd was the welsh equivalent of David.

What is the welsh equivalent of Dave? Daffy seems appropriate.
