    Hi all,

I sent my defence back, and was confirmed as recieved, yet nothing since. It's getting on a month since I did this...is this normal, should I chase or leave it?

    Cheers

The CCBC send the defence to the PPC and they have 28 days to respond, i.e. decide whether or not they are proceeding with the case. Who knows when CCBC sent your defence to the PPC?

Does MCOL show that a DQ has been sent out to you yet?

    Hi all

Had a letter from bw legal advising they are progressing with the case and have informed the court.

I wasn't expecting them to fold but is this a bad sign?

    Thanks

apparently I parked about 10 minutes over the ticket time

NCP are one of the largest operators of car parks. Plus they also carry out enforcement duties for Local Authorities. They know their way around the legislation and the fact your contract was for the time paid.

If you read the key case of ParkingEye v Beavis, look for the comment "all he needed was a watch"

Inform yourself rather than have others guide you over the edge.

no such thing as a bad sign , its just the the wheels of justice roll very slowly and BW LEGAL are processing millions of these small claims for various companies

you are awaiting a DQ from the CCBC so unless you wish to read the NEWBIES thread , download your own DQ , fill it in and submit it , stop being impatient , this matter will take months , not weeks , especially as the CCBC is overworked and undermanned (and probably under funded too)

you can expect B W LEGAL to proceed on behalf of NCP , even if it never actually gets to court , very few bite the dust at this early stage

    PATIENCE

    @Socrates

appreciate the feedback, however don't feel there is a close link to case, if you read my defence, this all stems from unclear and misleading messaging, that is seemingly designed to catch drivers out. There have been plenty of successful challenges to these types of cases. There is also no proof I was the driver on the given day.

Be aware, roland_ that posters like this person (below) have had it up to here with that 'new poster' who comes with an agenda of a PPC employee in every post he makes:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5997904/vcs-parking-outside-designated-bay-defence-helpppp-needed

Look at post #29 by an exasperated bambooparking !

Without in any way being rude to that *newbie*, who clearly has his opinion, I'd suggest you can take such posts with a pinch of salt because, after all, you didn't post here to be lectured by someone who seems to represent a parking scammer's viewpoint, without being honest enough to admit it and register officially with MSE Towers so he could post openly for his company.

You really don't need a new poster with a *strange* agenda to read your defence and would be better off with the advice posted by regular posters here, I'd suggest.

    :)

No they don't. NSL do, not NCP.

Maybe you need to read more to understand the scam?

Big company or not...the scam is the same, the lack of agreed contract is the same.
