TUI package holiday flight time change

Hi all

5 weeks until we travel and thought I’d log in online and check some details. When I did I noticed our inbound flight time had changed. We originally were departing at 6am arriving at Corfu at 11:15am local time and at the hotel by midday. This was perfect and one of the reasons I chose the flight as part of the hols. My new departure time is now 2:30pm. I’ve been able to change my bus to the airport and have had to email car hire to make the drop off the following day but the most important issue is that my 1 year old. The knock on effect of the rescheduling means landing 7:45pm and to hotel by 8:30pm now we will be travelling through her lunch, dinner and evening bottle times and arrived no at bed time.

This also means we have missed an afternoon at the resort during our 7 nights stay. TuiFly stated they sent an email, but the TUI store I booked with even said they were unaware of the schedule change and I can’t find any email. Where do I stand with this 8 and a half hour later change??

Thanks in advance.

Neil

you would be best posting this on the main holiday board. I don't believe TUI class 8.5 hours as a major change (allowing to cancel for refund) I believe it is 12 hours they can change but you would beed to check the t&cs
As it is 5 weeks till you travel there is no compensation applicable.

There are facilities at airports for feeding small children and the air stewards will assist in getting a bottle ready, and I suspect Corfu has child friendly eateries at the arrival airport. Yes it will be a bit inconvenient for you and mum and child but hay ho, worse things happen. Last time I flew to Corfu we had a six hour delay on the tarmac prior to take off, so in case something delays the flight and they won't let you off the plane, take extra supplies with you.
You are not entitled to compensation.

Won’t you get the time back at the end of the holiday with now a later return flight?

Return flight is the same as originally booked. So arrive at hotel about 9-9:30pm then six full days, then pickup on 7th day at about 6pm to return flight 8pm. So 7 nights still but only 6 full days and a half day

Could be as a result of TUI having fewer aircraft as their 737 max are grounded.

However for 8.5 hours not a lot you can do.

So still awaiting contact after the branch asked me to send a letter to be forwarded to customer care. After doing this Facebook has posts saying that others on the same flight have been given £75 in compensation

So now just had email from TUI fly to say that the flight will now be operated by ASL France a quick google and could only find some older 737’s branded europost. Yay not
