OL and SR. It's called Oriental Rub, it's in a tube and is a muscle rub similar to Deep Heat and Ralgex. Sadly it doesn't work wonders!
OL sorry there are still ongoing family problems. GERS too you have my sympathy. It's a problem you won't be able to solve until you are actually faced with it. Good morning,
I usually enjoy a Tuesday morning, for the sole fact that it's the day that bank account catches up with my spending from the tail end of the week previous and I get a lot of satisfaction in cross checking with that I had anticipated would come off, actually has. This morning though, I'm not so giddy. My travels last week coupled with my busy weekend with my visiting family meant tracking spend was almost impossible. Moving money to my Revlot card, withdrawing money in Swiss Franks, buying things with my card, buying things with my Revolut card, withdrawing more money, what's on expenses and what's not?!?! It's a bit of a mess. So after this, I'll spend some time to sort it all - wish me luck.
I predict that I will be staying late in work tonight as I've got plenty to be getting on with. I don't mind staying late, as long as I had expected to. It's the ones that creep up and you had plans for your evening that have to change which annoy me.
So given this busy day ahead, I must get cracking!! Have a nice day all.
TA - What about Voltarol? The painkiller gel? Worked wonders for me in the past.
Gers - I hope today is a bit better for you and your DM. Is she improving, though?0 -
Morning all from a sunny but chilly mehefinland
Well its Bruisemare's turn to have an ooh-me. Took her for a little walk up the track and she came back lame. At first we thought she had trod on a stone or suchlike but couldn't find anything. Then as the grass is now shooting we thought it may be a touch of the dreaded laminitis. So called our farrier who came within 20 minutes ( a minor miracle) and we had a good look at her. Conclusion is that it is a muscular thing as there was no reaction to pressure when he tested her feet. Got a need gadget which takes foot temperature so you can see if there is a hot spot developing ( usually an abcess). Foot was cool - which is more than can be said for one of her fronts.. have to keep an eye on that.
So a dose of bute (pain killer an anti inflammatory)last night and again this morning and she seems better. Perhaps I had better get some of this Oriental rub stuff too lol
Ds finally surfaced after a very long weekend with his GF ( who flew off to Cyprus on a field trip yesterday) so he's like a bear with a sore head. Think a stern talking to required.
Anyone see the maggots on Casualty the other night?
Hugs and spoons to those in need

Morning all, I've had a run of bad nights so feel really tired - I'd planned to go out but will probably stay at home. At least it is sunny and the washing is out quite cold though.
Best wishes allI was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Morning all
Been MIA lately as couldn't string a sentence together, let alone type anything . I'm still taking the tablets and I hope by the end of them I will be sorted, if not another trip for more.
We took Dad mobility scooter shopping yesterday, but there was only one that he could lift into his car ( an ultra light ) so he had to buy that one.
Today we have DGS here as he has a cough, what's the betting he'll share it with one or other of us
Nelski thanks for missing me :A
Holly good luck with your radiotherapy
Take care all.

Its what DS does for employment. He is on Quality Control side of things. The ones used medically are sanitised and are disposed of after a limited time ( don't think they make it to fly status)
better than leeches I reckon.0 -

Missing Lainey too ...her tales of lu always make me smile and of course Tru and scampi's antics. Come back soon
Working from home today on my hated project workbook rewrite so am currently in full distraction mode. Been to Asda, watched Made in Chelsea (I must be bad) and am checking email every 5 mins.Mission is to finish it today whatever the excuse so that I can tick it off and not have it bugging my brain.
Got mum a massive old fashioned sweet shop jar full of uncle joes mint balls for mothers dayShe loves them so there hopefully wont be any sulks. This week its mum day weds so another reason to finish todays work then I dont need to carry on after I get back tomorrow.
Food last night was a fish finger butty and tonight its lamb koftas with all the dips and pittas...another freezer find
Have a good day all0 -
Afternoon - my visit to DM didn't go well today, she's back to being very difficult and I don't react positively to it so I just left. She's sulking and I'm upset but it's ever so between mother and daughter.
There's talk of her being allowed home over / after the weekend, the difficulty ratio will increase substantially no doubt. Still, has to be done.
I consoled myself by buying some completely unnecessary though lovely new bed linen for my bed here. The bed needed to stripped so it was a good excuse.
Good to see some MIA folks posting again - :j0 -
Afternoon all taff it turns out John didn"t have
cĺips he had stitchrs and very fine work it is too. He is getting better every day. He has just gone up for a nap.
Hardup Hester good luck with the move.
Gers have a hug.
I am about to do battle with Tosco online grocery shopping site. It was so slow yesterday afternoon that I had to change tomorrow's delivery slot as I missed the deadline for ordering. So I changed it and eventually checked out. I am going in to add to my order. Cover my back please!
Well have a nice afternoon folks. Hugs to all.

TA, thanks for telling us what Oriental Rub is, I'd never heard of it.
Good to see you back Nanny!!
OL fancy losing all that weight and not realising, and had you not dieted at all!
Gers, sorry to hear your Mum was hard work. It is upsetting.
Taff, yes very strange, having a dead area. I suppose they stay that way forever.
Glad Mr Gintot is doing well
Mehefin, there seem to be a lot of ailments for horses, if you see what I mean
Hope everyone is all right0
