In Birmingham, starting at £50K
The property is listed as a two-bedroom semi-detached property.
An online listing says it is located in a "popular" neighbourhood but is "in need of refurbishment".
The house has a kitchen area, bathroom and separate toilet, a garage, where more rubbish is piled, a driveway and an enclosed garden.
Just it's full of rubbish as well as needing a refurb.
I have to say had I the funds & time, I'd jump on it at £50K but I think this fixer-upper will go for far more than it deserves...

Homes under the hammer time"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

"Popular" neighbourhood? I've always wondered about that phrase.
"Popular" presumably means that lots of people want to live there. But how do estate agents measure that? Is it because "lots of people buy houses here". But if lots of people are buying, that means lots of people are selling. So it clearly means that although its looks good from the outside, anyone who actually lives there wants to get out!0 -
It isn't what you can actually see that is the problem with a hoarded house it is what is lurking under the rubbish and has been for the last so many years that ofter proves to be a health hazard.
Also think extreme lack of maintenance because no one has ever been able to get to anything.0 -
It really ought to come with a hazmat suit, respirator, a chit for your size in safety boots & a helmet....
Still, I hope someone has a wonderful time restoring it to habitable & turns a profit on it. Sorted, it should rent OK what with the location &, ahem, the publicity.0 -
It's only the cheapest now because the 4 bed detached nearby that was up for guide £44k has sold

Plenty of properties have been guide priced at £50k in the Birmingham area.0 -
Auction "guide prices" are often a load of misleading nonsense anyway e.g. this shopping centre which sold for 310,000 times its guide price:

It will go for more than that. Priced low, and splashed over the internet, to make even more. Great marketing...2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0

For anyone interested, the estate agent link - https://www.shipways.co.uk/houses-for-sale/property-details/HBN107215
On paper, doesn't look to be a particularly good neighbourhood... of the 138 houses in the postcode area, 91 are rented (80 from the council). Half the residents are classed as "low skilled or on benefits". Also predominately poor educational achievers, 44 with 1-4 GCSEs, and 92 with no GCSEs out of 224 people. Moderate levels of crime with 52 reports for January.
On the plus side, plenty of green space close by, and only a short distance from the M5 - Still not an area I would want to live.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
