Mobile data usage for NOW TV (SkyGo etc)

Hi,
I am moving to a place where there will be no broadband fixed internet or satellite TV (in the centre of London)
So I need to get mobile data to watch NOW TV, Catch Up Services (BBC, ITV, All4, UKTV Play, and SkyGO) etc)
I would normally watch TV around 160-200 hours per month, and want advice on how much data I will need for this...
I have read some scare stories that NOW TV uses 1-2 GB PER HOUR - does that mean I will need something like 300GB or more per month?
If I need that much - can anyone recommend a non-contract plan with mobile router/wifi for 4G?
As my rent will drop by £300 per month, I have no problem paying up to £200 or more for mobile data...
thanks for your help
Philip

Sky suggest a football match on Sky Go will eat 2.5Gb of data (on average) so NowTV won't be too far away from that. The average is about 1Gb an hour for most mainstream stuff.
Now that being said its frankly ridiculous in my own opinion to pay a fortune for mobile data when you can get an unlimited broadband package down a phone line and get that for £20 a month and then you can NowTV to your heart's content.
I presume it should be possible I'd have thought to have a phone line installed (or reconnected as the case may be) to where you live, you live in London, not the middle of nowhere.
Just out of interest why is your rent dropping by £300 a month? Smaller premises?0 -
hi,
it's a commercial/community property under guardianship (protection from squatters etc) in Camden, which means no fixed landline or satellite dish can be installed
on the other hand we get to rent a room in this huge place with big gardens in the centre of Camden with no bills for less than £700 per month...
so paying for mobile data of around £100 GB and a mobile wifi router is probably the way to go...0 -
Not sure how much you'd need myself but I know the likes of EE do mobile 4G routers and plans at a maximum of half your huge budget.

I am also tempted by the!
- Smarty Unlimited Plan for £25 per month (uses!Three, with great 4g coverage in Camden)
- Huawei B315- 4G/ LTE 150 Mbps Mobile Wi-Fi Router
- Poynting 4G-XPOL-A0001 Cross Polarised 4G Omni LTE Antenna (to boost the signal inside)
any opinions or views on that would be very much appreciated0
