    Overpaid ?!?! Blimey.

I used ebay a lot for repeat sales business but also use Facebook for clearing out at home. So many people say "where are you" or "how many have you got" when its all in the description and there is a map of where I am.

You can guarantee if they cant be bothered to read the description or look at the map to see where you are then they are definitely not going to be bothered to come and buy it.

And don't get me started on "can you deliver?"... "yes of course i would love to spend some of the little time I have between a part time office job, part time ebay business and looking after 2 kids to drive 30 miles to give you something that costs £15..."

I listed a large heavy TV stand for collection on a closed Facebook ‘things for sale in the local T area’ group and got a message:

Hi, I’m interested in the stand. Can you post this?

Me: Mate it’s about 1m high and the same wide and weighs about 10kg. Collection only, like the ad days.

Him: Okay, would you deliver it to me?

Me (thinking it’s a local closed group and I’d get shot of the stand which had already ‘sold’ but not been picked up twice) Maybe, where do you live?

    Him: Newcastle.

Me: That’s 100 miles away! No, sorry

Him: Oh. Well what if you took it to pieces and posted each piece separately?

I stopped responding at that point.

I have posted some of my bizarre requests previously so you may have seen these before. Some of the notable ones include a woman on Facebook who seemed determined to let me know she was posh (I have no idea why) failed to turn up twice to collect as she was 'needed at her very important job', then spent ages trying to convince me that I should pop it by her office , leave it with the reception and she would pay me later. Obviously I declined and she then sent several emails pointing out that she was a busy and important person and she couldn't see why I wouldn't oblige and get a train to Canary Wharf and drop it off . All this for a £12 item.

Another one wanted me to drive 30 mile round trip on the M25 to deliver a £2 vase - although she did say she would give me an extra £1 for my petrol!

More recently I had someone make a real fuss about collecting an item, eventually tuned up and said he hoped I would drive him back home as I had 2 cars on the drive, his train journey would take nearly an hour and he was tired! Needless to say I gave him the item, took his money and closed the door firmly in his face.
