Thanks PB! Sorry about your head - I've got a tube of gorilla glue around here somewhere but it may not be vey practical for heads.
Trouble is I've got to keep this up now. Still, if it can be done once then the process should be repeatable.
I've already had to send a grovelly text to my one and only proper client asking to change her appointment time which is very bad practice. Have got to sort out my diary system so that that doesn't happen again. Fortunately, I'm using an academic diary which runs out at the end of next month. For next year maybe a page to a day diary with times already in it? Written works better for me than electronic at the moment.
Feeling a bit nervous about today and haven't slept well. Might need the full polyfiller treatment before leaving the house this morning :rotfl:"A thousand candles can be lit from a single candle without shortening the life of that candle."

One morning spent working for the supply agency and I'm beginning to feel overwhelm coming on!
It's back to paperwork and planning - one of the reasons I gave up work to focus on building my business - BUT PUDDLEGLUM YOU HAVE TO PAY YOUR BILLS! I know, I know, get on with it.
I have paid over the money allocated to family, rent, loan and credit card
Then I found out that the 50th Birthday party weekend which was May Bank Holiday weekend was in fact this weekend and not at the end of May which I had assumed it was. I really don't know if I can manage it but want to as friendships are worth more than money and the friend in question has been through a pretty tough time recently.
If I can move the tutoring time on Friday evening to earlier in the day then I can travel with everyone else in the minibus, saving a bit on petrol. I'm liable for the accommodation cost anyway. I can take a picnic for the Friday evening so it is just the Saturday night curry that will have to be paid for. Breakfast is included in the accommodation. I'm good at window shopping. Does that sound like a plan?"A thousand candles can be lit from a single candle without shortening the life of that candle."

I agree friendships are worth more than money. I used to read diaries where people missed weddings and christenings when they could have gone really. I know it is personal choice and all that, but people are more important.

Good point DIA. I missed a very good friend's wedding some years ago because I didn't have the money. She didn't tell me that the reason they were getting married was because her cancer was terminal. I regret not going on so many levels."A thousand candles can be lit from a single candle without shortening the life of that candle."

What a day!
Car went wrong, work went wrong in every way. I got cheesed off. Even managed to post a FB ad with a typo in it.
Must have got out of bed the wrong side this morning.
Will try harder tomorrow.
Nite, nite everyone."A thousand candles can be lit from a single candle without shortening the life of that candle."

Hi jwil. It did and so did the week. It was a bit of a rollercoaster of a week at times 🎢 I've tried putting a rollercoaster emoji in there - let's see if it worksdoingitanyway wrote: »Hope you have a good day today
Hi DIA. It was a good week overall with plenty to do. I'm certainly busier but there is a bit in me which is saying "what about your business? Have you given up on that?" I haven't, just need to get some money in.
I checked my personal account today for the first time in ages as my training fees are about to come out. Last month I negotiated a payment holiday and had the option to ask for another month off this month but decided to pay instead. Anyway there was only £26 left of my overdraft which was not going to meet $400 of fees no matter how good the exchange rate and unless Trumpy really put his foot in it yesterday...
Fortunately I had enough in the business account to bail it out with £350.
Now that all the accounts have been looked at and the real horrors have been faced down I need to make a note of where I am with all this. AND STAY ON TOP OF IT PUDDLEGLUM!!!
Should get paid for last week on Friday coming. That first week's pay will disappear pretty quickly. £100 to landland, £100 getting account back into the black, £50 to credit card. I will take out cash for the rest of the month foodwise - whatever is left of my £80 for the month and put anything left into the savings account.
I'm tutoring this afternoon and evening and have an advert to plan this morning plus other bits and pieces including getting money into the bank.
Hope you all have a fantastic bank holiday! :j:j:j"A thousand candles can be lit from a single candle without shortening the life of that candle."

Saturday and Sunday I went on a course at Heathrow. It was called Milli0naire M3ntors and was free as a lead magnet into the real training which cost between £3,000 and £40,000. I was never going to be able to afford that even if I sold every bit of stuff I've got lying around the house. I haven't got much stuff left as I eb@yed it all a few years ago.
Anyway I learnt quite a bit. Whether or not I got enough to put anything into practice or not is another matter but I'll give it a go.
Towards the end he tackled money beliefs, telling us to put them on post its and stick them on our mirrors. I've already got a post it on my mirror - "there are more than enough chairs" so here are the money beliefs here:
Money is the root of all evil becomes -my money is stored value from serving others for the greater good
You need money to make money becomes - all I need is an idea that serves others executed with love, enthusiasm and determination to make money.
It's getting harder to make money becomes - it's getting easier for me to make money as long as I embrace change and technology.
You have to work very hard for money becomes - I inspire money, systems and other people to work hard for me.
Getting into debt is bad becomes - debt to buy liabilities and consumables is bad. Debt to learn, create or acquire assets is good.
There isn't enough money to go around becomes - money is currency. It flows from me, through me and back to me in an avalanche of ever increasing abundance.
If I make money it will be at the expense of others becomes - I make money through serving and helping others.
Spot the moments where he was saying "buy my course!".
Anyway, I don't particularly want them on my mirror but am going to change my money mindset."A thousand candles can be lit from a single candle without shortening the life of that candle."
