Hi Guys,
Sorry im a newbie! I don't know how to start a new thread??
So my story..................I'm hoping for some help please??.
I stayed in a HX car park. I bought a ticket and entered my registration number.
I didn't notice at the time but the machine only printed the last 3 digits onto the ticket. I returned within the hour and thought nothing more of it.
A week later I received the £100 fine from HX Carparks stating that my car was parked in a way which breaches the terms and conditions of the carpark. It says that I entered only the last three digits of my registration (I didn't, the machine only printed the last three digits) and it is the responsibility of the driver to pay and display a validated ticket by entering the correct registration. It also goes on to say that they have a two-digit allowance in place to allow for human error meaning up to two digits may be entered incorrectly or omitted completely but because I exceeded this my ticket is therefore invalid?
I have the ticket to prove I did pay for the time I was parked.
I replied to the first notice saying I did pay for the ticket and that the machine didn't print the registration.
I haven't paid the fine and now they have sent me the Gladstones solicitors letter demanding I pay £160.00!!
Help!!
Many Thanks0 -

Sorry, but you’ll have to start a new thread of your own to receive any help. You won’t get it on this one.
So, just hit your ‘Back’ button which will return you to the forum thread list. Then slowly scroll down and on the left-hand side you’ll see a red rectangular button, cunningly titled ‘New Thread’. Press it, and hey presto!
If you’re using a phone, a number of forum functions either don’t work or are too difficult to navigate - use a PC, laptop or decent tablet.
Plenty of help available once you get underway with your own personal thread. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Either,
Click on the blue link at the top of this page that reads,
> Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking >
Or, click on the grey Forum Jump "Go" button you will find near the top or bottom of this page.
Then, copy the text from your post above, click on thebutton and paste the text into it. Delete the word I from your post and replace with either The Driver or The Keeper as appropriate. Then add the heading and submit.
Then, come back to this thread and delete your post. Click Edit, then click Go Advanced, Then click Delete Message, then click Delete this Message.
You also need to read the sticky thread for NEWBIES that you will find just underneath the new thread button. it will answer most of your questions.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
