PPI Very Catalogue

Hi all,

I had an account for about 10 years with Very, the past 2 years I had a credit repayment arrangement set up with them and I've now cleared the account. I do know that I had been paying 'purchase protection' up until I entered the repayment plan.
Am I able to claim against the purchase protection even though I had entered a repayment plan with them?
Thanks

It would be too late to claim on the policy as the debt is now cleared.

You would have needed to claim at the time of the claimable event.

Is it too late to claim if I made the last payment only last month?

    I would think so.

You could speak to the insurer to see if they will backdate a claim, but it's very unlikely.

Check the terms of the policy to see how long you have to notify them of a claim.

Are you talking of a claimable event or or you wanting to claim your ppi back

mojo69 say they want to make a claim :)

    Perhaps they mean complaint?

Just to clarify, it's concerning claiming back PPI.

Ok. That's entirely different. You mean making a mis sale complaint, not claiming against the policy.

You can complain, but redress will first go to any unpaid debt.

Thanks for replying. Apologies for not making myself clear. I've paid off the debt, but wasn't sure if I could claim back the PPI if I had been on a repayment plan woth them.

Only last week i went through Resolver to complain to Capital One about PPI, recieved letter yesterday from Capital One saying they'll uphold the claim, should receive cheque soon. Got me thinking if I could do this with Very too.

You need to get the right mindset. You are not "claiming it back", you are complaining it was miss-sold. Big difference. Claiming it implies it's your money and you just need to ask for it back which isn't the case. You need to write to them about why you feel it was miss-sold and provide evidence to support your case and they will review and see if they agree or not.

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
