Oh and why would anyone buy a council house ? Up to 70% discount , then sell on, and re-locate, get another council house , rinse and repeat .... (not everyone)
If my maths is correct it takes 40 years to get a 70% discount (happy to be corrected). Add the time before a tenant can apply to buy through rtb, the 5 years before selling to avoid repaying any discount and time spent applying and being given further council tenancies. Hardly rinse and repeat.

I dont agree, unless you can show me some facts. I have found this

which shows 3% of council tax going towards "housing and homelessness", not sure that is general day-to-day support for council houses.0
